The Expedition now has 175K miles on it and is getting around 12-14 MPG running back and forth to STL. Once a week I have to fill up and with our new lovely gas prices, this costs me about $100 per fill up.
So, I decided, it was time to “save the environment”!! <ok… save the leather wallet at least> I picked up a beautiful used bike. It’s a 2005 Yamaha V-Star 1100 with only 3500 miles on it. This should get me somewhere in the neighborhood of 40-50 mpg. Evan loves the bike and especially likes the flames.
After having my previous PHP Nuke site hacked for the umpteenth time, I am trying something new. Wordpress. Ok, so I really wasn’t keeping up with theĀ old site anyway, both on the backend and posting.
I have been using wordpress for Evan’s site for the last year or so, and nothing has happened to his, so either Wordpress is a bit more secure, or the hackers just haven’t found his site yet. I believe I was just hit by opportunistic hackers, so we will see what happens. Either way - Enough about the script kiddies…
I hope to be able to update this site a bit more often. Blog entries and the such are a snap to enter. I will play with it over the next several weeks and find the right theme, layout, widgets, plugins, gadgets, whizz-bangs, and flux capacitors to make this work well for my needs.
Until then… I am tired and off to bed. Early day today.
